The better the flat looks on day one, the sooner we finish and the less dust gets moved around. You do not need to leave everything perfect: we handle the protection. But there are things only you can do, and getting them ready the day before saves hours.
Move what you can to the centre
Pull the light furniture (chairs, side tables, floor lamps) into the middle of each room and leave at least a metre clear along the walls. We move and cover the heavy furniture ourselves with plastic, but if you clear the light pieces we gain room to work.
If you have delicate or valuable items (paintings, vases, electronics), store them in a room that will not be painted or in closed cupboards.
Clear the walls
Take down pictures, mirrors, shelves, curtains and anything fixed to the wall. If you want to put something back in the same spot, take a photo first so you do not lose the reference.
We fill and sand the small nail and plug holes as part of the job, so you do not need to fill them yourself.
Parking, access and timing
In central Alcalá and across much of the Corredor del Henares, parking near the front door is not always easy. If you can save me a spot or tell me where to load and unload, we start sooner. Let me know the lift schedule too, and whether the residents' association has rules for works.
Pets, children and what we cover ourselves
During the working day it is best to keep pets in a closed room or out of the house: the coming and going and the smells make them anxious. The same goes for small children while there are ladders and open tins around.
What we bring: plastic sheeting, tapes, floor paper, sandpaper, primer and paint. You do not have to buy materials. When we finish we tidy up, remove the sheeting and sweep. The exact price always depends on a measuring visit, but a well-cleared flat usually comes out cheaper because we work faster.
